ZOE SCHLUSSEL

Zoe Schlussel is violinist, fiddler, and musician health specialist who is driven by a passion for finding ways to free the minds and bodies of musicians, students, and audiences. In addition to performing with orchestras such as the Kalamazoo Symphony, Zoe is the concertmaster for Sierra Stages Theater, has taught at Western Michigan University, and has been running her own teaching studio for over fifteen years. Zoe holds a Graduate Certificate from Portland State University, a Master of Music degree from Western Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from University of the Pacific, in Violin Performance. 


Zoe has studied Traditional fiddle with masters such as Alasdair Fraser and Darol Anger, teaches at Alasdair Fraser’s Sierra Fiddle Camp as en ergonomics and musician health specialist, and is volunteer faculty at Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School, in addition to running her own fiddle camps. She has over six years of musician health study while recovering from multiple injuries and has training in body mapping. Zoe has recorded on Honey of the Heart’s most recent singles, 5000 Souls and Arriving, and is Concertmaster for Current Personae Chamber and JoDavi Orchestra.
